The Cove, Attadale

Slightly unsettling eating in this old building.  Not really much by way of atmosphere where we eat on the veranda.

Food was nice enough, but somehow don't look forward to going back.

Divers Tavern Broome

Big shiny bar almost on the beach, friendly tourist headquarters

Matso's Brewery, Broome

If you want to eat/drink in Broom this is a must for a relaxing pub feel and some tasty food.

The Blue Duck, North Cottesloe Beach

On the beach eating is never bad. That is true at the blue duck. We have been here a few times.

This time we had the mussels special and the Tuna Salad, both excellent, tasty, not to spicy and the tuna was cooked perfectly.

The only let down was the olives and anchovies in the tuna salad, both very poor examples. In WA there are so many great olives what are they doing servicing these watery week imitations.

The service is not bad at all, the place is busy and had a great buzz although perhaps it is even a little to noisy (or am I getting older) and that sometimes effects the service, but they are all working hard and are very responsive and the service does not get in the way of a good experience at all.

Update: Breakfast: nice, good coffee (not the best but good) and excellent fruit toast and french toast. Let down is the Jam coming in little Jars - what is wrong with nice fresh home make. Particularly for $1.60.

Summary: Almost great due to let downs each time.

The Indian Garden, North Perth 3.5 stars

Great is a really nice place.

The food was excellent.
we had

the chicken tikka mogal,
the fish korma,
lamb saag and
chicken jhal Frazi
along with the usual Rice and Naan and Roti

All where really tasty and fresh.

The service also was excellent, water got filled up regularly - a key test for me. Unusal is Perth to get good service.

The food arrived promptly. We will definately be back.
