After an initial slow start..I have a rule that if I don't get serviced for 10 minutes I just leave, got very close to leaving

Once over that hurdle overall food and service where excellent, this place is quieter than the competition (Kailis) and probably better, although a more expensive also

Food and the service, all very nice..... its not cheap, but it is excellent

In summary - ordinary food. Perhaps it was the cold weather or my general disposition, but I did not take to this place or the the food.

The feeling:

A cold winter night, cold inside as well as outside. The place was close to empty, the staff outnumbering the eaters. This appeared to puzzle the staff so perhaps it is unusual.

The food:

The red curry noodles are very ordinary. The chicken has a microwaved look feeling to it and very little taste also.

Nice looking menu, good variety without there being to much on it
We had the:

• gnocchi with Duck and mushrooms
• Rocket and fennel salad
• Beetroot and goats cheese
• Beer from the across the road
• creme brulee
  

The peeve

• charging to open the bottle when you don't have a license is just unprofessional, STOP DOING IT
  

Summary

• Overall excellent food in a warm relaxing place with friendly relaxed service, tough to beat that - we will be back.
  

Due to health regulations.........

The only place in the world I have ever come across, "Due to health regulations all food products must be consumed on the premises." I checked, no such regulation.

Is this because
A) Perth is more advanced than any other place
B) Perth so back water where small minded individuals are still able to live in relative safety
